Seit dem 1. Juli wohne ich bei meiner „Gastmutter“ Michelle.
Michelle hat noch eine 15-jährige Tochter namens Alex, doch sie ist momentan in einem Sommercamp um ihr Deutsch für die Prüfungen im nächsten Jahr zu verbessern.
Ich bin sehr glücklich, dass ich diese Unterkunft gefunden und so ein Glück habe!
Es ist jedoch keine typische Gastfamilie – denn in diesem Haus wohnen 10 Studenten!
Wie ihr euch vorstellen könnt, ist hier immer etwas los – von morgens bis abends 😀
Doch ich finde es sehr gut, denn man ist nie allein und merkt gar nicht, dass man so lange und so weit weg von seinen Liebsten ist!
Gerade Abends ist hier immer eine Menge los, es wird zusammen gespeist, gelacht, Karten gespielt, Witze erzählt und man beschwert sich auch ab und an über das ständig wechselnde Wetter 😀 – wobei es hier zur Zeit 25° sind und sich echt heiß anfühlt.
In den ersten 2 Wochen war ich mit Elisabetta zusammen in einem Zimmer, doch wir erfuhren das wir beide und die 3 anderen, die von den ersten 10 übrig geblieben sind, für eine Woche in das Haus von Michelle’s Freundin Celina ziehen müssen. Denn Michelle hatte eine Buchung von 8 Franzosen erhalten, und mit uns 5 wäre kein Platz gewesen.
Die Woche bei Celina war eine nette Erfahrung und ein interessanter Vergleich zu Michelle’s Haus.
Seit einer Woche sind wir wieder bei Michelle – diesmal teile ich mir ein Zimmer mit Florence (Franz.) und Laura (Ital.) ein Zimmer.
Since the 1st of July I have been living with my „host mother“ Michelle.
Michelle has a 15 year old daughter called Alex, but at the moment she is spending her time in a summercamp to improve her German.
I have to say that I’m really happy that I found this accommodation – I feel really lucky.
It is not a typical host family though – there are 10 students living here at the moment!
You can imagine that it is never boring -there is always something going on from the morning till night 😀
I like it, because you never have the time to miss your beloved or to realize that you are away for such a long time!
Especially the evenings are always very busy – we either eat together, play cards, are joking or complaining about the weather 😀
In my first two weeks in Dublin I shared a room with Elisabetta, we were soon told that we have to leave Michelle’s house for one week, to live at her friends house.
So the last 5 of Michelle’s Students went to live at Celina’s house.
It was a very nice experience and an interesting comparison to Michelle’s place.
I have been back at Michelle’s house for one week now – this time I am sharing my room with Florence (French) and Laura (Italian).
